Siberian cats are domestic cats from Russia. They are medium long haired cats with beautiful and lush coats. Siberian cats adapt well to families with kids and dogs. They are friendly, social, and are considered to have more dog-like characters.
Siberian cats are considered hypoallergenic since they produce a lot lower amount of the allergy-causing glycoprotein Fel D 1 that typical cats do. Cats secrete the allergen through the sebaceous glands in their skin, in their urine and saliva. When a cat grooms itself allergen-riden saliva is spread on its skin. When it dries, it mixes with the cat’s dander.
